This person also oversees the social media team, ensuring that what we publish across all platforms is consistent, purposeful and reflective of who we are as a firm. It is a role for someone who takes ideas seriously, writes and edits with precision, and understands that in a professional services firm, content is not decoration, it is credibility.

What you'll do

  • Own and manage all content published under the Veynuus name across the website, newsroom and external platforms
  • Commission, write and edit articles, research publications, announcements and thought leadership pieces
  • Oversee and guide the social media team, setting direction, reviewing content and ensuring quality and consistency
  • Build and maintain a content calendar aligned to the firm's priorities, events and research agenda
  • Work with service teams and leadership to turn expertise and insights into publishable content
  • Manage the development and release of Veynuus research papers and industry reports
  • Define and uphold editorial standards and the firm's written voice across all formats
  • Support event content including briefs, summaries and post-event publications
  • Track the reach and impact of published content and use that to inform what comes next

What you'll bring

  • Five or more years of experience in editorial, content, journalism or research, in a professional or institutional setting
  • Proven ability to manage publications and content across multiple formats and audiences
  • Experience overseeing or coordinating a social media presence, ideally for an organisation or brand
  • Exceptional written English, clear, precise and confident across both long and short form
  • Strong editorial judgement and an eye for quality at every level, from a headline to a full research paper
  • Comfortable working across subject areas including governance, finance, health, media and education
  • Familiarity with Somalia or the East African context is a strong advantage
  • A degree in communications, journalism, social sciences or a related field, a strong portfolio carries equal weight
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple deadlines without losing quality
