In support of IOM Somalia’s visibility efforts, Veynuus was engaged to capture the voices and realities of displacement-affected communities. Through powerful storytelling and visual media, we helped IOM highlight the human impact of its programming in both relocation and WASH interventions.

The assignment focused on two regions—each with a unique story to tell, but both requiring sensitivity, professionalism, and creative vision.
Conducted field documentation in Garowe (Puntland) for IDP relocation activities
Captured real-life impact of WASH interventions in Benaadir Region
Produced one human story per location, highlighting resilience and recovery
Delivered high-resolution photography and short documentary-style video footage
Ensured consent-based storytelling with ethical safeguards in the field

The final outputs supported IOM Somalia’s visibility objectives by showing—not just telling—the change on the ground. These stories became tools for advocacy, learning, and donor engagement, reflecting the real-world outcomes of humanitarian investment through the eyes of those it serves.
